Monday Meanderings and Menu Plan Monday

The matters of my Mondays often include getting organized for the week, if I've had an exhausting weekend as is often the case...family events, trips to various relatives who live an hour away, now soccer games, work on our farm, errands with Jac, church, etc. Weekends are fun, but it seems like a whirlwind has gone through the home by the time Sunday evening rolls around.

Monday is actually my favorite day. It is the time I refocus, set goals, and start new. Mondays just tend to have a natural way of inspiring me a bit more than other days, although I guess I have to say this usually begins at church on Sunday. If Sunday regularly included relaxation and regrouping along with the church service attended in our household (as they probably should), they would easily take the cake for my favorite day of the week.

As it is, my husband desperately needs Sunday as a day to DO and GO for that is who he is and what makes him happy after being stuck at work and in meetings and an office for 5 days and 50-60 hours a week. I am just thankful that he always includes his wife and children and church in his going and doing. He does have his priorities straight. Now back to my priorities for the week...

Anyway, as a point of organization and focus, I am adding Monday Meanderings to the weekly Menu Plan segment in order to record some of the to do's/scheduling things going on for the week. This is a meme started by Tiany at homeschoolblogger.com. She writes:

What is “Monday Meanderings”?

“Monday Meanderings” is something I have been very much in need of. I have to get back into my routines and start planning like I used to. In much the same way that Menu Plan Monday pushed me to plan my weekly Menus and hold me accountable to prepare and serve those meals, "Monday Meanderings" will be my weeks overview of all that needs to be accomplished and will hopefully keep me accountable to complete the tasks I list. I will plan out my week on Sundays (like I am supposed to be doing) and on Monday I will post it not only to hold myself accountable but also to share with you all as well! I know what your thinking, “Not another Meme!!!” Like I said this is more so for me but I'm sure there are others who might need to refocus and reevaluate their time and this is a perfect way to get back to our priorities at “Home”. As with all of these Memes im sure we can learn a great deal from each other and pick up or share a tip here and there. If nothing else we can encourage each other to stay on plan and keep our priorities straight!

With that said here is how I am thinking “Monday Meanderings” will work. You do not have to use my 5 but any 5 things that will better prepare you for (and prioritize) the week ahead! I don’t know about you but im tired of Friday sneaking up on me and the most important things on my list have not been accomplished!

“Monday Meanderings” will also be a great help for those of you that have purchased my “Orderly Mom Notebook” some of you have asked for help through my blog in keeping up with your Notebooks and this should do the trick!

Bible Study/ Devotions ~ (For the week) If you don’t plan it, you wont do it! I will share what I will be studying along with my Memory Scripture of the week!
"Must Do"~ Not the 'To do" list but the "Must do" as in it must be done this week! Whether it be some sewing or repairing, your Home Blessing maybe?
Zone~ I break my home down into Zones for detailed cleaning much like Fly Lady! (I am going to add my zones to the side bar as soon as I get a chance to do so. ) My zones don’t have to be your zones I suggest each person figure out their own zones and work them accordingly. If you need some help you can check mine out.
Train Them Up~ This will focus on anything pertaining to the children. You could share the topic of study in your homeschool, the character training you wish to tackle, new habits you wish to form etc… You know the important stuff you have been putting off!
Menu Planning~ I will share the weeks Menu here and or a favorite family recipe! (This can coincide with Menu Plan Monday)
