lacrosse stick project

Did you know?  "Lacrosse began over 500 years ago, started by the indigenous peoples of North America as a sport played among tribes. It included teams of 100-1000 men and games would last days at a time."

Last weekend, Jess and Jim made a model of a native lacrosse stick from a wet apple tree branch, bent and tied with string for her social studies project. She wrote a paper to go with the art piece and displayed them in a 'museum' at school. She included her modern lacrosse stick to compare and contrast then and now.

Thank you. I remember Scott making a baseball bat in high school, but just for fun, I think.
